What is the Connection Method of the Hall Current Sensor?

Aug. 04, 2020

As a Bipolar Hall IC China Factory, share with you.

The source of the connection method of the Hall current sensor:

Hall current sensors and voltage sensors only need to be connected to a positive and negative DC power supply. The measured current bus generally passes through the sensor or is connected to the primary side terminal, and then some simple connections are made on the secondary side to complete the main control circuit. Isolation detection, circuit design is very simple.

If used in conjunction with a transmitter, after A/D conversion, it can be easily interfaced with a computer or various instruments, and can be transmitted over a long distance.

1 Magnetic balance (compensation) wiring method

There are two series of magnetic balance (compensation) current and voltage sensors/converters: HNC and HNV: the output signal is mostly current. The three wiring terminals of this type of conventional sensor are: the positive power input is connected to the "+" terminal, the negative power input is connected to the "-" terminal, and the "M" terminal is the signal output terminal.

2 Direct wiring method

There are HDC series of direct current sensors. Its output signal is voltage mode. Under rated working conditions, its standard output signal is ±4V, which can be selected by users according to their needs. There are zero and gain potentiometers on the sensor, users generally do not need to make adjustments. If users have special requirements, they can be customized to the factory. The wiring method of the direct current sensor will vary depending on the specific product, but most of them are 4 terminals: the positive power input is connected to the "+" terminal, the negative power input is connected to the "-" terminal, and the "M" The terminal is the signal output terminal, and the "0" terminal is the power ground.

How to connect the power source of the Hall current sensor:

Hall current sensors are divided into AC and DC, two-wire type and multi-wire type

AC two-wire type Directly connected to the control circuit, one to the power supply and the other to the load

AC multi-line type Two power supply and two load, depending on whether it is normally open or normally closed, that is, two

There are a power cord and two control lines, and some have one long open and one long closed.

DC two-wire type Black to [or blue] negative pole, red [or brown] to load

DC three-wire type is divided into PNP and NPN type, black connects [or blue] negative pole, red [or brown] connects positive pole

The yellow [or black] is connected to the load, and there is a positive PNP feedback with one long open and one long closed.

Extremely NPN feedback negative electrode

The commonly used connection methods are:

1 pin: negative power supply (-15V) positive power input

2 feet: power ground (OV) ground wire

3 feet: positive power (+15V) negative power input

4 feet: output (Output) measurement signal output
